About Us

My name is Wendy Suggs and I am the owner of Advanced Skin Academy.  I started my site www.advancedskinacademy.com to provide quality online continuing education to licensed cosmetologist estheticians, and teachers in North Carolina.  I have taught esthetics for five years, and have been practicing for eight years.  In that time I have gathered a lot of students and clients that continue to ask my opinion on skin related topics.

Now, I don’t claim to know it all, I am the first to admit that. But one thing I want is for licensed professionals to share their information.  Women have a tendency to hold on to the nuggets of information that we collect, and we really don’t like to share our trick of the trade to other professionals.  As professionals, it is our job to educate our clients and it’s easier when you have a team of people educating and helping you.
